Seratu Aatai
With funding from Yayasan Haji Zainuddin, Seratu Aatai was able to tag Bornean elephants to study them in greater depth. Knowing their range, habits and foraging style helps scientists to protect these gentle giants. As they are an indicator species, Bornean elephants are remarkably important to the health and wellbeing of their habitat.

Homes for a Hundred
When the tsunami of 2006 landed on Malaysian shores, the fishermen of Kedah lost boats, homes and their livelihood. Yayasan Haji Zainuddin came to their rescue by building homes for one hundred families in Kampung Kuala Dulang, thus giving them a place to restart their lives and create a stable foundation for the young ones to go back to school and their parents to start work again.
